Abstract

Critical loads of acidity to surface waters and their exceedances were estimated for north-eastern Bohemia and Moravia in The Czech Republic. 13 400 km² or 17 % of the area of the country has been surveyed. Varying critical loads were observed within the examined region. 19 % of the examined area showed exceedance of critical load, and an other 11 % was close to exceedance. A continuation of the survey is recommended in Bohemia.
