dc.description.abstract | På bakgrunn av utsynkingsforsøk har NIVA gitt et estimat for en effektiv kornfordelingskurve for avgang fra Engebøfjellet som tar hensyn til flokkuleringen av partikler som vil skje i den planlagte prosessen for gruveavgang ved innblanding av flokkulerings¬midlet Magnafloc 155 og ved innblanding av sjøvann før deponering i fjorden. | nb_NO |
dc.description.abstract | Nordic Mining is planning mining for production of rutile from Engebø Mountain where the tailings are
planned to be deposited at the bottom of the Førde fjord. SINTEF is to model the expected spreading of
flocculated tailings. Since the model they use only handles independent single settling particles of different
sizes, NIVA has estimated effective grain size distribution curves that provide more realistic settling of
flocculated tailings in the model. These grain size distribution curves were calculated on the basis of a set
of laboratory scale settling tests using tailings flocculated with Magnafloc 155 and seawater performed at
